1985-1998 Alicia died quitely in her sleep of heart failure on July 20th following a whole summer of great days outside roaming our 3 fenced acres and fully possessing her home and property, and her newly air conditioned kennel - an effort to protect her from the brutal heat this summer. From Anything we could see, she never had a bad day - she was still fully mobile and active enough to control bala. Always beautiful, she halted people on the street who would come to pet her right to her last vet's appointment at the beginning of July. I used to tell small children that she was a princess, and if they were very very sweet to her, they would feel magic if they petted her fur. Amazingly, the most active little boys would go quiet, and tell me " I feel it!". Alicia loved kids. Alicia was ever the delight through her very last weekend. She visited all of her favourite spots, under clumps of pine trees (she always liked the shade, even in winter), and was a charming hostess to a friend's dog who visited her. On her last day, she ate her favourite cooked chicken and walked the full distance around our pond taking a drink at her 2 favourite spots and gazing over it like it was a great life. Alicia is now buried on a bed of pine needles between the pond and creek she loved and beneath a newly planted grove of white lilacs. We think of her every day and look forward to her blossoms in the Spring. What a gift she has been! In her name, we contribute to the Kuvasz Rescue Effort and Thank You for your efforts to preserve this wonderful breed. Sincere Thanks, Hank and Diane
